Is intel 870 good enough?

Thread Starter
Hi
I have a P7P55LX (ASus) motherboard with i7 870 @ 2.93 GHz.

I want to stream my games but the game lags when I do.

My graphics card is Radeon HD 5770.

Is the lag due to my i7 870 or my graphics card?

I never overclocked before, so I don't know if overclocking would help.

Your GPU is holding you back, the 870 is still a very capable CPU. I would upgrade to at least a 2GB 7850,

You can buy what you want from graphic cards.
HD7950, HD7970, GTX780, GTX770, GTX760 what you like.
Lag is more because AMD and their standard story, drivers are guilty I'm sure not CPU.
Your CPU is excellent from period when Intel made something.
1136, 1155 that was Intel, and 1156 your and SB-E is excellent only that PCIe 2.0 destroy situation little.
People OC that on 4.0GHz with some good coolers.
Heat transfer was much better than now and H100 and similar coolers can show real face not like now.
