Zowie fk vs am which should I buy?

I just got a deathadder 2013 and I'm going to have to return it because it just feels cheap and not comfortable at all. So I would like to try an ambidextrous mouse and I have an ec2 evo( which I love) and g400 ( which I also love). I'm more comfortable with the g400 so which would be better for me and my palm grip. I'm leaning towards AM since it looks bigger but I hear it's actually worse to grip than the FK. So I was thinking about AM with glossy sides.

But anyone who has both mice or tried them please tell me which would probably be better for palm grip.

So, you have two perfectly good mice (g400,ec2) which you apparently love but want to get another one?
There are literally 100s of posts regarding the FK and how it differs from the AM, even how it compares to both your loved mice- just needs a little reading on these boards here. Don't think we need yet another FK thread, that gets hijacked by fanboys and haters wink.gif

I found the FK's shape to be better than the AM, since the FK's shape is a lower profile, it allows the user for more control*. Aside from that, if I were you, I'd stick with the G400.

The Zowie AM and Zowie FK are both more suited for claw grip than palm grip. I don't really know why you didn't like the DA 2013 (is it the material or shape) but If you're fine with the shape then get the DA 3.5 or if you like full rubber coating DA BE. IIRC DA 2013 has some kind of smoothing, DA 3.5 has a tiny bit of prediction that's fixed with the legacy driver/firmware update, and DA BE is shipped with the updated firmware.

Thanks but I went with zowie am gs. Hoping the gloss sides will help with the grip a lot. It looks more comfortable for me looking at the pictures. Zowie FK looks to narrow and small which I think would really mess with my hand. If it doesn't work out I was eventually going to get the FK either way.

both of thoes mice, the FK and AM were both designed around a claw grip, so id suggest something like, a Mionix 8200, or a Func MS3

I use a palm grip, I had a death adder about 6 years ago. the shape was probably the only thing i liked about it. Then i went onto the ikari steel series and that had a nice shape as well, the laser sensor was very poor however. I have the Zowie FK and it's by far my favorite mouse of all of the products i've tried. The only critique i have with the FK is that it's low profile makes it very hard to palm for my medium to large hands. I have a mixed palm/claw grip on the mouse however. The zowie FK is significantly smaller then the death adder. The death adder is very easy to palm and puts a bump into your palm almost. The zowie FK is the opposite it's very low profile. I was thinking of getting an AM because of the higher profile and my love for the FK, but haven't made the purchase yet.

If you want to palm grip a Zowie mouse, get the EC1 evo or EC2 evo. The FK and AM are too low to really feel good with the whole palm on the mouse. The EC1 is normal Intellimouse 3.0 / Deathadder sized while the EC2 is smaller.

I palm/claw my FK without a problem. There is no huge bump that gets pressed onto your hand like the Deathadder or similiar "ergonomic" mice which I HATE. The Zowie AM is a good mouse, but the clicks are a bit harder than the FK's and to me a bit too hard. Also, I couldn't constantly reliably lift up the AM without applying much force on the sides which cramped my hand. The FK is way more relaxing to my hand because it's easier to lift and I don't need to apply so much pressure on the sides. And the clicks are a bit softer but still loveable springy.
