how to upgrade harddisk

Thread Starter
I have recently bought a new laptop with windows 8.
I want to upgrade the harddisk to a hybride ssd.

I tried cloning it, however when I install the new harddisk, I get an error and windows doesn't load.

can anyone help me in transferring the os to the new hd.

thanks
