Will this work? P4 640 to E7500

Thread Starter
I have an old PC with a P4 640 in and have an E7500 lying around, will the E7500 work in such an old machine?

What kind of motherboard is it?

A lot of early 775 boards didn't support C2D.

There is a very slim chance it could work due the the lack of boards featuring the 775 sockets that supported Core 2 Duo. Without information on the motherboard it will be hard to know if the E7500 will be supported.
