New VG248QE has... scanlines? - Page 2

Thread Starter
Old screen also has a lil backlight bleeding, no biggie, and the white lines issue appear to be an artifact of the image i was using for testing.

All-in-all, if your VG248QE has this scan line issue, exchange it, return it, warranty it, whatever, it's a definite defect and NOT supposed to be this way.

edit: also all testing was done using the same Dual-link DVI cable that came w/ the 1st screen and same power cable, so it's 100% a display defect.

Good to know!

I know someone unlucky enough to get 2 replacements that had the same defect. Sounds like you got better luck than this person!

I'll be damned my display has this issue too. I never really noticed it until lightboost stayed on after playing a game in 3d. Its very pronounced then. Its still there at 144hz but very faint.

Oddly enough I don't see this on my 120hz catleap which is famous for the same problem when overclocking.
