total amd noob since my 3800+ x2.

so im looking at mini itx for my lan build im trying to build a cheap lan computer and ill move my 780gtx over to it when i go to lans.

from what i gather socket fm2 is the only mini itx you can get? and is this the best fm2 processor? AMD A10-6800K Richland 4.1GHz.

if this is best/fastest option? how well will this work with a 780gtx at 1080p.

only purpose of this system will be to game at lans at 1080p.

games will be BF3 till bf4 comes out. harken. chivalry. and probably titan fall.

is this even worth it or. should i just go with an i5 haswell build. looking for 60fp in most games on high or ultra high settings.

AM3 ITX boards are extinct so FM2 is the latest AMD itx offering and indeed the A10 6800k is the best FM2 processor available.

however on benchmarks these APU perform on par with an i3 at best which means it wont be able to bring out a 780GTX's potential.

if you are into high end gaming then i'd strongly suggest an i5.

APUs are great but for low -mid end tier and they would just run out of puff for any high performance uses

i have my main rig for high end gaming. so this combo wouldnt be worth it at 1080p with a 780gtx.

not worth it especially with a 780gtx

i wouldnt exactly pair any GPU with an APU other then its crossfire partner but if i have to i wouldnt pair anything better then a 7870 as its not going to be capable of driving the card to its potential

if you want that 60fps min in ultra @ 1080p i'd still say get an i5 and shove that in an itx board and not bother about AMD

that was my initial plan was to go with a 4670k.
