The CPU temps only get up to about 126f when it is doing network backups. Runs really well, nice a quite too.

Although not a "micro" to some people, I'm still using an Intel WS440BX motherboard (slot 1) with a Pentium 3 clocked at 500 MHz, and an ASUS Nvidia RIVA video card (32MB video RAM) and 512MB system RAM. When I built it a few years ago to hold all of my music, it had 4 40GB Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 8 drives. It was next to silent, and ran pretty fast. It never got too warm, and I just put it all in a mid-ATX case I had laying around.

Recently all of the drives failed in it, so I'm building another.

Talk about using old stuff to the best of it's ability.

Wow slot 1, have not seen one of those in years. What are you planning on building?

Just a Socket 478 using the MSI PM8M-V. Nothing much, since I don't do insane data transfers. I'm planning on using the old one for Puppy Linux, since it went so fast. And I did the PSU fan speed "mod", where you unplug the PSU fan and plug it into the mobo. It used one of those stupid shrouds where it sucks air over the CPU and out the PSU. Keeps it cooler and just moderately louder.
