Upgrade question: Will the Raystorm Water block work for Haswell?

Hello All,

I purchased a Raystorm kit for my i7 920 4 months ago. I had to move due to the military, so I disassembled my whole rig and wrapped the components in anti static bags and placed all the components in my carry on luggage. I placed the tower in my checked baggage. I went to put it all together after testing my loop, and it seems my board will not post.

I want to know what should i upgrade to? I really want to watch the budget, but newegg also has a combo deal for the ASRock z87 extreme6 with and Intel i5 4670K for right around $350. So my main question is will the Raystorm waterblock fit the haswell socket? I looked on the xs-pc site and it says it will, but the manual hasn't been updated to see if additional hardware will be required.

Any help would be great, regarding the watercooling setup or how to possibly fix my board.

Thanks in advance!!

short answer is yes if you still have 1155 mounting hardware, 1155 and 1150 are the same mounting.

The Haswell uses the LGA 1150 socket correct? The LGA 1155 and the LGA 1150 socket have the same mounting hardware, so yes it should work. So long as the backplate s the same, it should work just fine.
