Which is best for triple monitor 5760x1080 gaming?

Ok so I already sort of have a thread up for this, but I'll just make this one anyways.

I purchased a Zotac GTX 670 4GB edition at the NCIX warehouse sale for $250. I have a 670 2GB at home and I thought they would sli. Turns out everyone is saying it won't, I do have an sli bridge on order so I will find out once and for all, but its probably not going to work. So now I have a decision to make.

A) Sell the 4GB GTX 670 and buy a second 2GB GTX 670
B) Sell the 2GB GTX 670 and buy a second 4GB GTX 670
C) Give me suggestions.

They will SLI together, they will just only use 2 GB of memory. While you could sell the 4 GB it has been shown that the bus width (256 bit) is too small for there to be an improvement with the 4GB models. Granted there are games out there that try to allocate more than 2GB to the memory buffer but very few games actually use more then 2GB. If you have skyrim with heavy/numerous mods then the 4GBs might be the way to go, but IMO keep what you have for now.

Most review sites tend to test away from the memory bus limitations, some sites will just omit the 5760x1080p data if the bus is saturated, where you will see average frame rates in the single digits redface.gif I had 660 Ti in SLI and with an even narrower bus width (192 bit) the problem was more pronounced.

That being said, personal preference I would try to trade them for 79x0s as eyefinity is much easier to deal with, with the exception of having to run your games in full screen mode with the hope that drivers later this month do fix frametime latency (yes it is noticeable). mad.gif

C) Use them together or trade them.

They will, but the 4GB one will be limited to 2 GB for compatibility

I was thinking about the 7950/70 crossfire, when are those drivers supposed to come out. I might wait to make my decision.
