Is that accuracte even if you aren't going ot be quad sling or LN2ing? I currently run 2 780's and use a h100i for cooling and I don't really want to change my cooling so is it really worth getting a rampage over something like the MSI g45 plus or the Gigabyte UD4? I would like to get something with a black PCB that isn't the Big Bang, or Assassin(not a fan of the looks on those boards). I definitely think the rampage looks nice and am willing to spend the money, but I also really like the two other boards I named and those are considerably cheaper, so if they aren't garbage then I don't see a reason to spend the extra $150-$170.
Personally I always go with the ASUS or Gigabyte Motherboards, I personally chose to go with the Rampage series and it is serving me quite well. You do not, however have to go with the Extreme portion, I picked up a Rampage Gene, due to me only going dual xfire and the board is able to keep a stable 5.0 Ghz @ 1.45v (max load 85C) though I run a 24/7 4.6 @ 1.325v (max load 65C) on my i7-3820 with a H70.
