AMD A6800k + 2GB 7750 build & RAM question

Lately my 5 year old daughter has been showing a lot of interest in Minecraft and she plays it quite often on my cellphone (The Demo) so I thought I would be nice if she got to play it on PC and build her a nice system. To help fund the build I sold her Nintendo 3Ds which she hardly ever used and looked for spare parts I had. Trying to make this build as cheap as possible.

Parts I already had sitting in my closet for like almost a year:

Antec Illusion 300 Case $ 40
Thermaltake Frio CPU Cooler $ 20
OCZ Agility 3 90GB SSD$ 55
Corsair 430CX v2 $ 20
Samsung Blu-Ray player $ 25
XFX 7750 2GB $17

Parts I bought :
Asus F2A84-M Pro $ 84 AR
AMD A6800k $130
G.Skill 2x4GB DDR3 2400 $ 60

Total so far : $ 451

She wants a pink case, but really haven't seen a case I like for her that is pink/girly. She is getting some money from her parents next weekend that might go towards a new case and I will try to sell some junk I have, too. If you guys can recommend me one for around $80 or less let me know. Other wise I might mod the 300 or just put a Hello Decal on the side smile.gif

I will be getting the A6800k hopefully tomorrow and might be able to put it all together and install Windows 8 on it since I got a spare key.

I can't wait to see if the 2GB 7750 will crossfire just fine with the APU and run some benchmarks.

Why don't you go pick up some primer/paint/gloss and paint the case yourself? She could help as well. Get some stickers to put on with her to make it truly her machine. That's what I did with my son's PC. It's full of Star Wars stickies.

That's kind of what I did to my current case. I should try the same if she gets the money from her grand parents smile.gif I'm trying to teach her that buy saving and selling the stuff she doesn't want she can get new things she wants. She has been mostly paying for her rig except for the parts I already had.

So I just installed Windows and hybrid crossfire is enabled and seems to be working fine. However, my ram is set to 1600 and when I tried to set it to 2400 I couldn't get the computer to boot. This is the first time I buy ram other than 1600. Do I have to up the voltage or manually set everything?

I will be leaving the downloading some games over night and would like to do some gaming tests with ram set to 2400. Here is the ram I have:

Try using D.O.C.P mode or AMP for the memory profile. If not then go to the SPD tab in the bios (to find the reccomended settings) and then manually set the timinings and voltage the ram needs for 2400mhz
