checking the price difference
now Im thinking 8350 asus 990- pro
gold seasonic 650
corsair vengeance lp or crucial ballistix both 2x4mb
win8
costing lots less

You don't have to go haswell, Ivy and sandy are still very capable CPU ranges. Any reason for getting the 8350 over the 8320?

You don't need a 650 W PSU unless you plan on Xfire or SLI.

+1. Ivy bridge and Sandy bridge are both good processors. They will last for many years to come!

Then just get a non-K variant of the sandy bridge or ivy bridge from OCN, Amazon, or eBay.

Going with AMD almost always mean OCing to get close to Intel performance on most applications.

In addition, Intel CPUs are more power efficient.

Go with a i7-3770 (non "K" version)

If you don't plan on overlocking, id say the intel I7 is your best bet. You'd have to OC an FX 8350 to actually meet the performance of an i7......something that doesn't sound like is up your alley anyways.
