Modular Ultra X4 850watt seems a bit warm.

Thread Starter
I just mounted this in the bottom of a new case and it seems like it's getting kind of warm. It's not super hot or anything, but I want to make sure I'm not about to kill this thing because it's too warm.

Does anyone know how hot these things usually run?

It depends on what else is in your system. So, what else is in it? Is anything overclocked?

However, I will tell you that this is a low quality PSU.

It's a computer!

My rig:

Asus m5a97 mobo

8gb PNY ram

2 ATi Radepn 7770's, cossfired

AMD Athlon II liquid cooled (don't laugh, I'm getting a 6300 soon)

basic Asus disc drive

1tb Barracuda HDD

Nothing is overclocked at the moment.

Then I don't think that PSU should feel even remotely warm. However again, it's not a very good PSU anyway, so there you go.
