Yes Sir, I'll be using HMMonitor.

Well man I'll have to redo this test in the winter If i feel bored again. Nice though, I bet they weren't either. thumb.gif

Post with HWmonitor and then I'll believe it, but as far as I'm concerned AI Suite is a giant pile of madsmiley.png

No seriously, just google around. It use to report "-86 degrees Celsius" on my CPU and "0.0v on 12v rail" all the time. It's a piece of garbage.

MWMonitor? Coming up.

Motherboard (Like normally) got colder faster when I set it over the AC vent. Yes its on. Ambient temperature is 1F off but I'll round up seeing how that was the test.
Picture of motherboard with AI Suite and HWMonitor.

"Eh, AI Suite is hardly accurate anyway..."
Huh.. thats a funny statement ^

That was just for my motherboard, I got my processor back down to 66.2 but I didn't have a chance to read that data, Took the picture for that before I could get a chance. That will be up shortly if correct or not.

Edit: I'll be posting the picture for my processor when I get all the cores at least 1 or 2F off from the initial 66.2

My friend got his Phenom X4 into the single digits with AC before. It's not that spectacular.

Unlike Intel processors, AMD doesn't have as much of a heating problem.
Edit: Does he live in the North Pole?

It's a 125 watt TDP proc. It's hardly the coolest running chip on the planet. They just happen to have low max temps. Also, he's a huge WoW nerd and sits in front of the AC all day. Gets pretty cold. I don't even know how he stands it.

He might of lied to you when he was in the "Single digits" People aren't even believing me with this, How are we expected to believe that? tongue.gif

Okay, So processor got down to 66.2.
Unfortunately for multiple core processors I assume that AI Suite takes the average of the cores.

If you wish to do the math and figure out how Ai suite got it be my guest smile.gif
As for HWMonitor, It has the package as 69.8 which my processor won't do right now. More testing will be done if people need me to do something else tongue.gif

I could get single digits all the time during the winter, I think the point you are missing with this thread is that cooling is not deemed "good" by measured temperatures but by delta temperatures, that is the change over the ambient.

Not to poo poo on your parade, but you are setting it on a duct with the AC at 57F and showing us idle temps and expecting a drool fest to begin. Your max temps are 113-125F thats a delta of ~60F which is nothing to be too excited about.

hey, i aircooled my CPU below ambient! it just happened that it is inside the refrigirator!
is liquid nitrogen "technically" considered air? i mean it keeps evaporating when it's cooling the chip right? biggrin.gif

Idle temps mean little. What does it do under full load, like running IBT?
