[Official Build Log] Starting an adventure with my Career...

Thread Starter
Good evening OCN.

I've also had a passion for programming, or at the very least, the idea of it. So, I decided to pursue a career in the United States Air Force as a Computer Systems Programmer (3D0X4); I leave for that journey in January 2014.

I've also decided that my Asus Vivobook will not be able to contain my needs/wants for very much longer and that I should construct a more fitting battlestation for such tasks. I will do so without a budget (okay, a high budget, but a smart budget).

Hardware

CPU: i7-3930k
Motherboard: Asus Rampage IV Gene
RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum 32GB 1866Hz
Storage: Samsung 840 Pro Series 256GB (x2) & Western Digital 4TB Caviar Blacks (x3)
GPU: Asus GeForce GTX Titan (x2)
Case: Corsair 350D
PSU: Corsair 1200i

Aesthetics

I'm going for a Red & Black theme, which isn't very unique, I know. I'll be using Corsair-sleeved Red Cables, SP120s for the Radiators (Red Ring) and AF120s for the case.

More Information (As of 16 July 2013)

As stated at the beginning of the thread, I don't leave for BMT (Basic Military Training) until January, therefore I won't actually be building the battlestation until I am stationed at my permanent duty station. This'll be anywhere from early June 2014 to late August 2014. I understand that this is but a year from now, and newer/better parts may be released, I will make adjustments accordingly.

I am thinking of going with a triple-monitor setup, and making the move from console gaming to PC.

I'm already putting money to the side to make this happen, keep an eye open for updates!
