Hi all.. Posted this question in the wrong forum so forgive me for the repost in the right forum. I have a corsair 400r case.. It came with 9 mother board stand offs installed.. And im buying the Asus z87- A mother board.. but it seems to only have 6 holes for screws... Are the extra mother board stand offs going to hurt my board cuz i cant remove them...

Could you confirm the motherboard model that you are buying?

My experience has been that I can leave the standoffs in place for a full size ATX board, and install a mini-ATX board with no problem.

Its the Asus Z87- A mother board. It seems to be smaller then a normal ATX board.. and only has 6 holes for screws.. The corsair 400R has 9 mother board stand offs installed. Im worried about the stand offs im not useing touching the back of my board.

Hmm ok.. i hope this is true then. I guess the only way to find out for sure is to buy the MB and then try to install it.
