Well, i guess if you dont want to compromise at all there is no solution for you wink.gif

it's less of a compromise issue as it is a weight issue over time. due to mechanical advantage, the torsional stress it places on the PCB is much greater when the GPU is mounted vertically. the stress the weight applies onto the PCB becomes exponential from the mechanical advantage of the design.

it would also affect the effectiveness of the TIM since the contact surface has a constant torsional stress applied to it

and as you mentioned there are other issues involving this configuration as far as blocking all other expansion slots or blocking CPU cooler. or both if you double stack the spitfire with one going in either direction. but at the end of the day. something of this design

would still out perform the spitfire from the sheer surface area it offers.

I'm just saying unless you actually are willing to try something you will never know for sure, because these are all just articulate speculations and the perfect cooler doesnt exist wink.gif

discontinued model. SilenX IXG-80HA2

would have been perfect if they continued with its development and made a triple slot model frown.gif
