If I were you, I would stop armchair racing and go see something like this first hand. I am willing to bet the PPI of your average 27 inch 1440p monitor is far more crisp than you think you need.
No. And that is why I shall pay with time - time that will hopefully bring prices down enough (or at least avail more ~30" 4K panels at much lower prices).
As for the ppi, like I said, I do seem to notice the difference and I'd much rather have the 31" version than the 39" version.
I'm not saying that the 39" one won't look good or anything, I'm saying that the 31" one will probably look better and I'd rather have the 31" one over the 39" one. What is wrong with that? What I need and what I can have are two totally different things, don't you agree?
As for prices, as I've already mentioned, I'm willing to and going to wait until prices on the smaller 4K panels come down or more smaller versions become available at lower prices. Prices are bound to come down once these become more popular.
As for 1440p/1600p panels, I don't have one but for good reasons. I'd prefer it if you didn't have a go at me just because I don't own one.
