Help with high CPU and GPU temps

Thread Starter
Hi, I have a Zalman Z11 plus case with the stock fans plus another stock fan at the top, from my old M59 Midi Tower Case, which I moved from a couple of days ago.
I used compressed air to remove dust from everything.

Front of the case is intake, back and top are exhausts. I also have a XIGMATEK SCORPION HDT-S1283 COOLER.

Room temp 26.7c + (summer)
My i72600k idles around 45-52c / Gaming 60c+

My GTX560 idles around 57-62c / Gaming 70c+

The two HDDs are at 33-38c

While playing Half life 2 today the CPU reached 69c
and the GPU 72c.

I have a Powercool 850W (was brought for me), which I'm going to replace..

ASUS P8P67-M PRO REV3

6gb ram

Any help would be great thanks.

(The top fan is off because it doesn't seem to be making any difference.)

Your temps are perfectly fine. Load temps are what matters.

2600k might be a little warm but it is summer. Add another fan to your cpu cooler for push/pull if you want to drop some C's.

And the gpu is really fine if it maxes out around 75C. Although you could set a custom fan curve using MSI Afterburner. Ramping up the fan would definitely help with temperatures.

Personally I would keep my temps under 80C for 24/7 use for your cpu and under 90C for 24/7 use for your gpu. Although I believe the max for SB is 97C or something and your gpu is probably around ~100C before they throttle.
