Will I need to upgrade my PC for Elder Scrolls Online?

Thread Starter
Please see the current rig in my sig. I have had it since summer 2009 and it still handles the games I play (such as Guild Wars 2 and CS:GO) very well so I've yet to see any reason to upgrade. I play in 1920 x 1080 resolution on a single monitor.

I'm wondering though how it will handle Elder Scrolls Online? I know it's still early to tell but do you think it will follow the typical MMO scheme of not being extremely hardware dependent to cater to a wider audience?

Looks as demanding as Skyrim, but of course you need to factor in the population and character models of other players.
Your rig should be able to handle it, my Gainward GTX 570 in my media PC was strong enough to play Skyrim maxed out at an easy 60fps @ 1920x1080.

the i7 920 at those speeds will be fine. Clock for clock performance in games between nehalem and haswell really isnt that much different.

Thank you for your replies. I still can't believe that my setup can keep up with today's games. Either the games I play are not demanding enough or the i7 920 kicks ass. thumb.gif

The latter for sure xD And the 570 is still a high end card, ive got the 560 TI and zero problems running everything close to maxed out. your rig should be more than good enough to play ESO with all the shiny turned up xD
