A buddy of mine at work asked me if I could help him build a budget computer. He wants to spend up to 575 with just the components plus case. There's a Microcenter nearby so I was thinking I could get an AMD processor/mobo there, do any of you have suggestions for parts? He wants to play mainly steam games like CoD BO2 and DayZ etc. I was thinking the FX 6300 or FX 8320 and a gtx 660 for the main components and maybe a ssd possibly the Kingston HyperX thats on sale at tigerdirect.com because he said he wont need to much hard drive space and then just 4gb ram, what do you all think?

Ok so this is what I came up with

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1hJdH

Memory: Kingston Black 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($49.98 @ PCM)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($62.98 @ Outlet PC)
Video Card: HIS Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB Video Card ($199.99 @ Microcenter)
Case: BitFenix Merc Alpha (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($39.99 @ NCIX US)
Power Supply: LEPA N 500W ATX12V Power Supply ($39.99 @ Microcenter)
Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer ($14.99 @ Newegg)
Other: AMD FX-6300 and Asrock 970 Extreme 3 from Microcenter ($119.99)
Total: $527.91
So it should be about $575 after tax and shipping. Enjoy!

If you want to overclock, then you should be able to do around 4ghz with the stock cooler.
