That's because people are a bunch of parrots that just repeat what other people say without facts. Just like you did in this thread.
I had crossfire 3870's awhile back and they were HORRIBLE. It was partly due to drivers but also partly due to the bios with the cards, flashed them to different versions to fix some of the problems. Ended getting them traded up to crossfire 4850's and had less issues but some were still present. Then I moved to a single 5870 that I never had any problems with. Currently sitting on a 660 TI and have had absolutely no issues with any of the drivers. Planning on upgrading again depending on pricing and performance with AMD's next set.
All in all both sides have had there problems. Bugs happen, it's inevitable, just so long as they work to fix them is all that matters which both sides are doing. Being a parrot and repeating what other people say based on no information is what causes misconceptions and red vs green wars.
