Shows that it is one of the best radiators for >1000rpm.... Beats the Gtx versions which has a higher FPI of 20
Its a mental thing. You cant overclock a fan higher than 12v to spin faster (easily) but you can use a fan controller to make things slower. Thats my reasoning with it... biggrin.gif

I have the UT60 480 in my rig! thumb.gif

Well I have some good news and bad news.....
I ordered my fan controller from xoxide smile.gif
I also ordered 4 gentle typhoon ap-45's from dazmode! Pretty much the only place that sells them.. 2150rpm, 68 cfm, 2.8mm h2o static pressure all one decibel higher than the ap 15's....
Now problem is I chose the cheapest shipping order. He messaged me later saying it will take 3 months to get here!!! And it has been shipped -_-
WHYYYYYY frown.gif
3 Months?!!!wth.gif

Yeah, definitely not a bad thing.

Im as shocked and annoyed as you are mate. When you pay 50 bucks for shipping for 4 fans you expect a 10 day shipping time not months!
Oh well... Ill get the case in like 2 weeks and itll fly by

WARNING = PICTURE HEAVY

Long time no see for you all... Missed you already biggrin.gif
Update:
My Alphacool NexXxos 480 Radiator came today with the two matte black fittings
Im starting to get better with my photography and lighting which is GREAT! thumb.gif
after having my camera for around half a year I only just realised how to use the focal lense -_-

ANYWAY,
the box that came with it was about Yay high --->

My choice of mass destruction

Packaging... HUGE... It was around a meter and the radiator packaging is just over half a meter... Could have saved some money for me there Frozencpu... It did come quite quick though. 10 days or so.

More shots of fittings and Rad smile.gif

What do you guys think, Should I go matte black fittings or Silver fittings? It is going to be a red/black themed but I feel the silver ones look nicer and will stand out and create more of a punch...
That UT 60 is an excellent rad, very good choice.thumb.gif

That's so true about the packaging, I also bought my Alphacool 480 rad from FCPU. Same thing, the box was almost twice the length of the rad box.
Which I wouldn't mind if they had properly packaged it, the box just had some loosely placed brown paper in the huge gap, allowing the rad to "float" during shipping.

Actually, silver fittings may just be a refreshing change from the boring black fittings used so often.
I automatically went with matte black fittings all around, but one thing about them that annoys me is how easily the black coating can get scuffed, showing the brass under it.
The silver fittings might be more durable. As you mentioned, they would stand out, for more of a punch.

Can you recommend a pump I should get... I dont really want to go for a pump top as of yet... I considered the MCP 665 from Fcpu with pwm but now Im not too sure
I want it to be quiet but have very good flow and all the good stuff
What are some recommendations...
Im worried about what fittings I would need if I went for the Mcp 665 and if the compression 3/8 ID 5/8 OD would fit on the 1/4 thread... That part confuses me slightly

Sometimes that's like discussing AMD vs Nvidia.tongue.gif
I've been happy with my D5's, they are just oem Laing D5 Varios, fitted into an EK D5 Dual Pump top. I use two for redundancy.
Very smooth and quiet, plenty of pressure for my setup.
However, the DDC variants (eg. MCP35X) are more compact, and have a higher head pressure output.
There are many variants of both, of course. Looking at the FCPU site, at the Swiftech MCP655 (D5 variants) you mentioned, they offer Swiftech MCP655 pumps with the threaded ports tapped for a G1/4 thread, which will then fit your fittings, if you don't want to go with a pump top.
