Buying game serials through Amazon (In Australia)

Thread Starter
G'day,

Looking at the Black Ops 2 Season pass for all the DLC (Mainly the zombies maps) and on Amazon it's only $49, whereas anywhere else it's upwards of that and $79.99 on steam.
Go to purchase it on Amazon and I get a message saying that it's only avaliable to people within the US (All games that is), would I be able to make a US account and buy it and not get in trouble (the game revoked etc).?

Cheers,

Cheers,

It should be fine. I would suggest you post this on the steam forum for the game. Someone else might have done it and will let you know first hand.

For the most part, if you can activate it on Steam, then it won't be revoked. You'll automatically know, by not being able to activate it. I know of many people who use fake US address to purchase via amazon and the game activate fine. Unless they are in a country that has restrictions to that specific game. Otherwise, it just activates as a ROW title... rest of world. So you should be fine.

Yeah I found some posts on another forum (Can't even remember the name) but long story short I found a random name/address generator and used that address with my name and debit card details. Worked a charm and I'm now downloading.

I was actually going to ask a mate (he always buys from them)... But I don't talk to him anymore, after further investigation this is how he did it all this time! tongue.gif
