Thread Starter
so i recently finished my computer build to find out that when it boots it goes past the bios screen to a screen that tells me to insert a bootable device. i go to insert my flashdrive and it wont power it on. it powers the little 50gb external hdd i have but not the flash drive. any ideas? the flashdrive is a sandisk cruzer 16gb. on my little hdd i have software i need to boot from to update the 2 ssd's i have also.

motherboard: asus p8z77-v
i have started the rma process but if i could i would preferably like to not rma.

Well it is not kiddesh it is fine coz the intell USB work before windows the rest like asmedia or any other chip-set won't work in most of motherboards till u see the windows logo loading (only work for keyboard and mouse) so they don't read data drives etc.. so must connect the USB to main intel usb 1st

2nd make sure yes to have the USB 1st priority also if u have external DVD drive etc.. plug it and try using windows CD
