CoolerMaster 212 Evo for the HP Pavilion p7-1414?

Thread Starter
I just recently upgraded my p7-1414 to the AMD A10-5800K and was having trouble with it overheating with the stock fan on the CPU. I tried reapplying thermal paste but that didn't help. I have now ordered the CoolerMaster 212 Evo and am curious about it's compatibility. Will it fit inside the p7-1414? Will the bracket they give me be wide enough to screw into the FM2 socket? Will it be able to contain the 100W A10-5800k?

To answer all of your questions:

1) Judging by your case dimensions, it would be a tight fit, but yes, you would be able to fit the EVO into the case.
2) The bracket that comes with the EVO is compatible with the FM2 socket, so no worries!
3) The Hyper 212 EVO is more than enough for the A10-5800K, Trust me.

So there really isn't much to worry about. Just make sure next time you order a cooler that it's compatible first, because you won't always be this lucky!
