okay,
so my computer was running fine for awhile and then out of the blue I started getting allot of BSOD's . so Instead of dealing with it I went and got
2 new SSD's as a upgrade and installed windows BUT I have used 3 product keys and It will not let me activate it , So my question is
if I can take the product key from my old hard drive and use it on the install on my SSD ? are do I have to spend another 100+ dollars on this crap, ; /

thanks to whoever answers this I will give rep biggrin.gif

How about making an image of the OS from the older drive and put it in the SSD and you won't have to reinstall anything from scratch?

It's one key for one computer. If you're not using that hard drive anymore with the old Windows install, then use that old key for the SSD.

If you can't activate online, then call the 1-800 number given and phone to get it activated. Takes 5 minutes.

The One on my old hard Drive was the 3rd key in the pack , I tried getting new one from the key on the Box but was denied so your saying I CAN use the use the key from the hard Drive on my ssd?

You should be using the key that was installed to your old hard drive. Enter it in, then call the number it gives you. You will get an automated system and have to enter a bunch of numbers on your phone, then it will activate.

When they ask how many computers you have installed it on, make sure to say 1. You've only installed it on one computer, you've just installed it twice.
