iPad 2 occupying multiple IPs and shifting around constantly

Okay so it had become apparent to me that my file server was not communicating with any of my computers in my network. I hopped on the router config page and found that my server IP (which is generally set to 192.168.1.5) was being overridden with the IP of 169.254.160.160, which is not even in my subnet so why on earth does it apply that IP. Then I check my wireless IP table and find that my mom's iPad was occupying the IP addresses 192.168.1.5 and 192.168.1.25 . This really baffled me, so I just set the file server to 192.168.1.86

After applying those changes, I checked the table again and found that the iPad is still using two IP addresses, this time is is 192.168.1.4 and 192.168.1.5

Here Is a picture to show you that I am not going crazy.

I know a good bit about networking but this confuses the crap out of me confused.gif

Why would the iPad have a second MAC Address?

Can someone throw me a bone?

Thanks

I assume you have a LG device, and the ARP table of the router didn't update properly. My guess is it will disappear if you reboot the router. If it hasn't already cleared out.

Aha! Yeah we have two LG phones, Doesnt surprise me that the ARP table doesnt update correctly considering that its a cheap piece of junk.

Thanks +1
