Asus P8Z77 V-LX2 motherboard USB 3.0 Front and Back Panel not working

I have a Buffalo Ministation and Western Digital 3.0 Element which previously usable while using W8 Pro 64bit on 3.0 USB slot but now with W7 Pro 64bit unable to read it on 3.0 but only on USB 2.0. However, the harddisk is vibrating (which i think is running) when plugging into 3.0 slot. There are 2x 3.0 slot on back panel and 2x 3.0 slot on Front panel. I don't wanna waste my USB slot as it is barely enough for me to use.
Is it hardware or software problem??

Any help would be much appreciated!

This happened to me on my ASUS P8Z77-V motherboard. Luckily, it was right away and Newegg replaced the board for me. The USB ports where showing in device manager, just like yours are, but they would not function. They actually burned out my CMStorm Trigger keyboard. Be careful what you plug into them if you thing that they are failing.

so... you mean that it doesn't work right out of the box? Mine should be different case. It is usable until i reformat the computer OS from W8 pro 64bit to W7 pro 64bit.

I have the same issue, did you ever solve it? After i re installed the OS, the driver doesn't seem to be installing correctly. did you use the install DVD or the download from the internet?
