Short circuit?

Thread Starter
I've had a few problems with my first build and while I finally got it running I tried to install the USB to my keyboard/mouse and everything shut off. I was able to turn it on once after, but now the CPU fan just spins for a second then stops and no action. Is it possible to know the problem? Have I short circuited the motherboard?

Thanks for the response.

I have everything up and running now. The I/O plate was not set properly, so it was interfering..
