Thread Starter
so im in the windows 7 setup and i put my 2 ssd's (ocz vertex 2 80gb each) in raid 0 and the drive is showing up as 150gb. but when i select it and go to click next it says "setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition" please help. i dont know whats wrong. i have updated my ssd's before this.

update: i give up. im just going with 2 separet 80gb ssd's . upside is that i dont have to worry about trim on raid 0. hahaha

Well the issue probably was the lack of RAID Drivers on your windows 7 disk, if you want to give it a go find the W7 drivers for it and pre-load them with your system/

Atleast you got it going one way (same thing I did, RAID 0 was a bit iffy at points for me.

I take it your motherboard is setup for raid, and I assume you set the raid 0 with the "ctrl + I" function correct?

If so, have you simply tried going into the custom section, choosing your drive, hit delete, then create a new partition manually?

Also, did your win 7 disk come from microsoft, or did it come from a "third party" ph34r-smiley.gif . If it came from a 3rd party, it could just be a crappy download.

Are they new drives or old?

Download your raid drivers and put them on a flash drive.. when ever you are in windows set up just choose the drivers when it asks for it.
