Xbox360 and BO2

Me and my brother play online and we use chat headsets. First, why can't we hear each other through our headsets? Second, why do we share audio? I want my audio feed to be independent. I rely on knowing my surroundings. As a result I am 46% better on my own online

You won't be able to split up player 1 and 2's game audio. If you want to hear each other, try enabling the setting (from the dashboard) that controls whether or not you hear voice through the speakers or not.
