I'd take a Chinese, Huawei android based phone over an American iphone, Canadian blackberry or Finnish Nokia phone.

I'm sporting a samsung note atm though.

Loving my Meizu MX enough that I'll need a compelling reason to not buy my next handset from them as well. thumb.gif

Xiaomi is giving Samsung/Apple/HTC and just EVERYONE a run for its money. Those smartphones are BEASTS, specially the Xiaomi M2S, and cheap. It's fairly easy to get a Xiaomi in Europe/Spain.

Snapdragon 600: Quadcore Krait300@1.7Ghz+Adreno320
2GB Ram
1280x720 IPS 4.3' Gorilla Glass display(more res than the I5 retina)
32GB memory
13MP front camera+Sony Exmor RS CMOS
HD+HDR video
3000maH battery
etc etc etc.

for just 290€-381$, and that's the "official" distributor price, but you can get them for at least 40€ less if you get a good seller. That's an unlocked phone. Anything near it, like the Samsung Galaxy s4 or the HTC One cost double the price.

That little beast gets into USA/Europe in an official manner(Xiaomi HQ in a territory), and no matter how much people they put into manufacturing, they're going "Out of Stock" everywhere.

Since they invented it.

It's like the Prizm/Snowden scandal. We've all known the NSA has been monitoring communications, but no one got outraged until a guy leaked facts.

It's also kind of hypocritical. The US has back doors in us branded network gear (yes Cisco), but when someone else does it, it's espionage. For me it's a matter of who do you trust less.

half the reason why it's cheaper? Differant union laws, Differant environments, Differant skillsets, And last of all Everyone wants to work no matter the pay, where as most "western" countries won't accept anything less then 20 bucks an hour for factory work.
