A lot of it may be a coincidence. It may not be newegg or anything similar.

Have you looked in your event logs??

Um, I can make a "virus" that shuts your computer down instantly.

Oh, and about AV programs, if you want free, Avira is the best.
And yes, it is even better than AVG.

Shutting down and turning off are a little different. its hard to make a script that will turn off a machine like the power cord was just removed.

No, ever heard about memory invasion?
Computers are running on DMA (Direct Memory Access), it's just about finding the right memory address and it'll shut down.

It probably isn't the case that it's a virus though, since AMD64's has the memory protection stuff on them, so it's impossible to do.

*EDIT*

TooFast4You > I know what you mean, and it is possible.

Thread Starter
List of user WINDOWSXP \\David was preserved at that time, as application or service continued to use it during the output from the system. The memory utilized by a list of user was not freed. List will be unloaded, when it will not be used.
Possible reason - service, carried out on behalf of user. Try to change tuning services and to assign their fulfillment with the stock-taking records Of localService or NetworkService.

This is the only error I got today, no other errors that I know of.

Virus, most definely. Windows prevented it from doing any damage though, just like BSOD except that it doesn't show it, so somewhat it's a "Black Screen Of Death" instead, lol.

It is starting to sound like a virus. I'd run a couple AV's, and a couple Anti-spyware programs. A couple, cause i havent found one program that finds everything.
