Run RAM faster than FSB? - Page 2

Faster is better in a lot of ways--as long as your RAM and Mobo like it like that.

I get the best 3D Mark06 score when I have my RAM running at the top end of its spec. However my FSB goes to like 500 (DFI LOL) and seems quite happy at 380 so no way can my DDR RAM go 1:1 with that...I get to 312 though...

I dunno what happens for you guys, but for me going from DDR2-800 to DDR2-1000 doesn't give me a boost in performance.

It would make alot of sense to run it 1:1 to me im no expert though but my logic is if there is more ram space that can be use the MOBO might misread something and cause it to have to selfcheck its self so that it makes no mistakes BUT. in my view I see runing the ram at 1066 and mobo at 1000 no problem because it isnot the big of a increase and might help the mobo go around 1020.

NOTE: I'm no expert its just what I think and I have almost no experince do not count this as true unless someone else sees my logic. No on gets my logic, lol!
