Hi,
I tried to look for any information about this on the net but I did not find, I really need to know how much performance gain in gaming if I OC i7-860 from 2.8 to 4.0GHz with GPU like GTX 660 or similar. this will help me to decide many other things.

Any comparison, review, article, personal thoughts all are welcomed.

Thanks

you will see a performance boost with that overclock. how much? that depends on game. i guess, really to be honest, sounds like you have that tech already so, why don't you do a test comparison and tell us if there is any performance boost. i'd be interested in knowing for sure. thumb.gif

Ok here is what I found:
I hardly was able to OC @3.5GHz with the available components I have and tested these games:

BF3, Mafia II, COH OF, COH 2 and GTA IV

with settings that uses Havoc PhysX, nVidia PhysX or nothing at all

I found............no effect at all !! FPS are the same or with increase of just 0.3 FPS !!
