Newegg Open Box monitor worth the risk?

Thread Starter
I've been looking at the Asus MX239H for awhile for xbox and website browsing monitor. Its currently new right now for about 219 but then I saw an open box link today for 175. Do you think its worth the risk? Will it at least come with the power wire? I already have a QNIX for my gaming rig so this will be for a small rig

You have 30 days to return it, so you're only risking $15 for shipping both ways.

I've never returned anything at newegg before. Thanks for the information. I always thought the item had to be defective for returning the item.

If you're cool with small defects like one or two stuck pixels, then OB is for you.
I bought three Asus monitors OB for 75 a piece a year or two ago, and the RMA slip from the original buyer was still in the box.

If it's not defective you will pay restocking fee, of 15% so it's more then just return shipping

You're better off getting a new one, especially if its only about 35-40$ more. Last time I got an open box monitor from them, they sent me only the panel with no stand and it had a bunch of dead pixels.
