The Roccat Kone XTD has a similar button layout to the MX518 and awesome customizable LEDs. Any opinions on it?

Currently I'm considering the XTD and M95. I use a palm grip and claw occasionally.

As far as looks go, valid point about my hand covering it, but I can't bring myself to use something as absurd looking as the RATT.
I really doubt that it is possible to fix because it is a problem at the hardware level. Skylit seems to know a lot about sensors, try asking him. If your mouse is skipping, then that's not acceleration, you have something misconfigured or a defective product.

The Kone has the same sensor as the G600, so if you don't like the acceleration, then there's no point.

The Kone also has a higher than average weight at 123 grams, although that's not too much, and it depends on your preferences. Its lighter than the G600, though.

The weight on the G600 is fine, and the Kone has adjustable weight.

Have their been complaints about the Kone though?

I haven't heard of any complaints about it. IMO, it's mostly down to shape, weight and the sensor's performance.

To make a long post short: Ergonomics win! Got ry to test the mice you like, buy the one that you feel most comfortable with.

A few buttons more wont make a difference if you feel uncomfortabel with the mouse.

Yeah, that's why I ditched my deathadder, despite there being nothing wrong with it otherwise.

As long as nothing is going wrong, like going above the max tracking speed all the time, then it's all down to ergonomics. I had to go back to my G400 from my Zowie AM because I went too fast for the AM. Sad, since I really liked the AM.
