don't really need to switch- want to keep PSU nice and cool, can get a decent 120mm for under $10 (I got a pack of four recently for $12). also make sure the hole/grate where the fan goes is big enough to mount the 120mm fan, if the hole is too small it'll just cause interference with the fan making the smaller fan actually move more air. can also look at RPM of fans, higher RPMs cause more noise, but move more air... I like the Antec tri-cool fans, they reach decent RPM and have three speed settings so you can change the fans to high during summer, and back down to low in winter... (these are the black 120mm fans that came on my Antec 900 case... not the 80mm clear ones.)

I wouldn't bother, just buy a new 120mm fan.
