I stupidly bought these components without realising how bloody massive it would be! I'm going to send back the case and motherboard in the hopes that I can shrink down the size of the build.
I was thinking of getting a Silverstone FT03 and getting the Gigabyte Z87M-D3H. Will all the other components fit in or will I have to send back and replace some other parts as well?

Thanks.

if you prefer scythe coolers, imo the ninja cooler is not as good as the mugen simply because the ninja is a double stacked heatpipe design which IMO isn't very efficient. you want all your heatpipes to be as close to the heat source as possible for best cooling.

I've already got all the components so it's too late to change that now, I'd like to only send back parts if they wont fit.

ahh ok then you best send back the mobo considering that's an ATX mobo and the FT03 is a mATX case biggrin.gif

edit: oops i guess that was why you were asking biggrin.gif nm ;p

ok... everything appears to be fine. the GPU will work in a vertical mount orientation, however due to the total surface area of the heatsink and the size of the fan on it, it might get alittle loud during gaming (still much quieter then reference design tho)

btw are you picking the FT03 for aesthetic reasons? because if your reason is size, i think the SG09/SG10 is actually smaller overall.

would everything still fit in the smaller one? the PSU is pretty big...

oh wow i didn't even notice that till you pointed it out. most 650W units these days are pretty small and would fit inside the FT03 so i didn't even look that up. but now that you've mentioned it. the ZT is a LONG psu @ 175mm long. the FT03 can only take a 180mm PSU so you are getting pretty tight in there. technically it will fit, but personally i'd look into a shorter option to make life easier when you are installing it. BUT since you already own the PSU. i suppose you can just use it.

I think I'm going to go with the SG09 as I can get it for half the price of the FT03. I just realised I've listed the wrong RAM, I actually have Ripjaws Z 4x4. Someone else pointed out that the cooler will hit the ram as they are quite tall, so I guess a new cooler is on the list too!
