Worth rooting HTC EVO 4g LTE?

Thread Starter
Just got a HTC EVO 4g LTE yesterday and I was wondering if it would be worth rooting it and running CyanogenMod on it.
Also, is the stock android camera interface as good as the Sense 4+ camera interface?

Stock Android has its benefits. But personally the flexibility afforded by rooting really opens Android up to become whatever you envision, which is really cool. It also allows you to get new versions of the OS earlier than you might via OTA updates from your provider; in some cases it's the only way to get updated OS installations.

But it's usually pretty straight-forward, and I've never had a problem reverting to stock when I wanted to.
