AMD FX 8150 Performance Decrease With Overclcok

My cpu is really good and I love overclocking it but after some extensive testing I have found a flaw and not sure why its happening. After overclocking my 8150 I always run AMD Overdrive Stability Test than right after I run a few benchmarking programs. I run Passmark, Novabench, Wprime, and SuperPi and whenever I overclock past a certain ghz my performance takes a huge hit. Now It is very subjective to how I overclock if I just use the fsb I take a hit when I get past 4.3ghz and when I use both multiplier and fsb it is the same but when I use just the multiplier I get a steady performance increase intill I hit 4.6 ghz. The only thing I have not done yet is actually downclock my NB Ram and HT and see how high I can go that way (I havent tried that because my bios just got updated with an unlocked NB multiplier).

I was just wondering if that was a normal thing if I am doing something wrong. I thought it might be because I am also increasing my ram NB and HT speed but I thought I might need to to get a higher overclock see when I just overclocked with the multiplier I thoguht the HT and NB was holding me back I didint think the ram because I have 1600mhz ram.

I am doing a stability test right now and so far it is good at 4.5 useing fsb and multiplier I am running the fsb at 211.00 mhz and the multiplier is 21.5 althought I have my voltage set to 1.350 my mobo for some reason gives it 1.450 wich is all good because I have a water cooler.

Rig Specs

Mobo - Gigabyte 970-a-ud3
CPU - AMD fx 8150 OC to 4536.00 Mhz
Ram - G.skill Ripjaw x 1600 mhz OC to 1688Mhz
SSD - G.skill Phoenix III 240GB Sata 3
HDD - Seagate Bericuda 2TB
PSU - 800 Watt (forget the make its been a while since I have put it in)
PCI-E GPU - Geforce 780 OC to 1200Mhz core and No OC on the memory (just because I am not running multi monitor setup)

increasing nb and ht on bulldozer can have negative effects.
set them back to stock or as close as possible.

do you have amd power management enabled?
are you being throttled?

I actually may have found the culperate possibly. I did the test once and got 8800 on pass mark than I disabled the AV and did it again and got 9400 so it may just be that haha

Yes that was the problem now I am getting perfect results every test. Although I have not found the cause of Norton using that much CPU power I did find a fix for a period of time. just force close the process in windows task manager and when it comes back on the problem was solved.

Oh and also another note raising the NB and HT helped me to get a higher stable overclock. I could never get 4.5 GHz on 1.350 volts until I combined the fsb and the multiplier.

could you paste a screenie of your cpu-z/ temperatures?
so it was your graphics card not your 8150.
