Can't control H100i from Corsair Link

Thread Starter
Hi,

I've gotten my new PC and I got a technician to install everything for me.

But I can't control my H100i from CorsairLink. Can you please help me? Thank you.

CorsairLink can't see the H100i. I tried two different ports. The technician plugged the fans directly on the motherboard while I plugged them onto the H100i iteself. I then plugged the USB (I believe) onto the motherboard. Here is where I plugged the H100i on my P9x79 PRO as I don't know anything about this (The stupid guy he threw away all the cables and the manual and stuff).

IIRC corsair link issues have not been resolved for quite a while now. Either they have abandoned the the project or it's simply not a priority right now for them. Either way I wouldn't hold my breath.

So I should plug it into my motherboard you're saying? And which header is the CPU fan header?

Ya, that would be the next best choice. The corsair kit should have came with a splitter for the fan header but not sure if you'll still have that if stuff has been tossed. Just look for fan headers with labels "CPU FAN" near the socket, some boards may have one or two of these.

He already installed them onto the motherboard. I at first plugged them into the block, then installed them back on the motherboard. Thanks man!

Corsair link has given me nothing but trouble as well. I agree with Arkuatic, I think Corsair said screw the project!.. Anyway, try unplugging all of your usb headers on the MB when the pc is shut down, then start the pc and plug in the Corsair Link usb wire to a 2.0 usb header while the pc is running. That helped for me. It recognized all my Corsair link components Then re-plug your usb wires back to there headers again.

Good Luck,
let me know if that worked!

I didn't understand the bold part. The USB is already plugged... So I remove it and then plug it in again? What's the point?

Thanks!

Unplug all of your USB wires connected to all of your USB headers on your mother board while the pc is off. Then turn the pc back on and only plug the corsair link USB cable in a USB header and it should recognize your h100. Then plug all other USB cables to the USB headers.

Sorry for short reply, I'm on my phone.

Make sure you ground yourself while working on your pc. Grab the steel frame of the case while plugging and unplugging cables.
