Thanks for those who read this.. ok,i have been doing sooo much research in the past 4 days about analog/digital audio. I cant quite get the answer i want to hear.i read forums after forums everywhere about it. But here is the issue. I have a Logitech z906,and im super late discovering that onboard audio sucks.it sounds good to me. Then again, its all i have heard. I have heard so many testimonies about onboard audio is no good. My concern is soundcards with my z906 system. i have a budget of $200. I am confused about the connections on my system as far as digital/analog. Right now its set up via green, black orange 3.5mm jacks. From my understanding, thats analog..so whats the other white and red analog for? Because my ultimate goal is to hear crisp and what i have in mind is the soundblaster zxr. I read i shouldnt go digital because it will bypass the soundcard and making it worthless. So how can i go about setting up my z906 to benefit from a sound card? i have looked into a Xonar DX2 because i have read others suggesting that card, and i still dont understand because the ports on there are digital. So would that mean it will get bypassed too? I am trying to understand because i wanna experience a dedicated soundcard. I already experienced a dedicated graphic card with my GTX 580,so i would like to do the same with sound. please and thanks.
