Audio Setup

Thread Starter
Hey there guys

I am considering boosting my sound experience on my pc!

I am between a few setups and i'm always open for any better recommendations!

So, my first choice would be to go with Sennheiser PC350's and the Creative Sound Blaster ZXR.

And the my second choice would be, the Astro A40, sounds like a cheaper choice but i heard that their quality is really awesome, since it has MixAMP i dont think i need a decent soundcard since thats what the MixAMP is used for, i guess!

So what you think?

Sound Blaster Z with some recommended headphones from the sticky?
My vote goes for option C:
SBZ + Beyerdynamic DT990 pro 250ohm + Modmic.
And if you don't mind spending some extra, take the ZxR.

Hmm i just figured out that, would it be better to use any of my existing headphones for gaming? Im not sure if they are gonna work well for gaming though...

Sennheiser HD25 - 1 II
Beats Studio by Dr Dre
Ultrasone DJ1 Pro

I use them for DJing as it's pretty obvious, im not sure if they are going to be that comfy for gaming, sadly frown.gif

I am using DT-770 pro 80ohm for everything, and as I can see the HD 25 - 1 II is right next to them in the sticky (bassy headphones section).
At least for me the headphones beat the typical 100$+ gaming headsets in comfort. And about the bass masking footsteps/etc, that depends on if you actually play games that benefit from it. I play Project Reality that focuses 100% on teamwork rather than reflexes rolleyes.gif
