But that does not mean it doesn't affect tons of other companies/markets.
Do you really think it wouldn't affect world markets if multi-billion dollar companies just went under? (i.e. activision)
The stock market takes a hit whenever someone sneezes, so think what could happen if multi-billion dollar companies went under.
Even the stock market aside, Sony and MS would take massive hits, and MS even more since there are plenty of people that would move away from windows because games are the sole reason they use it. And then lots of PC hardware companies would take hits since there isn't really a need for anything more than an APU, so you have will APU's and then professional cpus/gpu like quadros, no more consumer parts like geforce would be needed.
I'm sure if I put more time into it there would be much more to it than that. Multi-billion dollar industries don't just disapear without consequences.Edited by icehotshot - 7/26/13 at 7:54am
