Best way to set STEAM and Origin up on my drives?

Thread Starter
Got an 120Gb SSD and 2x Samsung F3's in RAID 0 for storage.

Now what would be the better option...

1. Install STEAM, Origin and all the games onto the Samsungs

Or

2. Install STEAM and Origin on the SSD and have the game downloads on the Samsungs?

It doesn't seem to make much difference, I've tried it both ways and not noticed - the majority of the wait from clicking the icon is the network/login for both of them. I've got Origin on an SSD and Steam on a HDD at the moment but just because available space.

The way I have steam and Origin set up is so they each use their own externals HDD's for storage.

My steam games go onto my main drive C, and a 750gb western digital external usb drive.
My origin games go onto a slightly smaller external, mainly because I was only intending to install Mass Effect 3, crysis 3, and a few other games. This external is just 450gb but that's plenty.

And with all the updates your games get through steam, it pays to have extra reserve storage so that your games can be updated without storage capacity issues.

Buuut if your main HDD happens to be like 2 or 3tb big, you should be fine to just install steam and origin onto that one drive, make two partitions: one for Origin which is roughly 600gb, and one for storing your media such as music albums, personal videos, wallpapers, screenshots, documents, pdf's, etc.

Hope all of this helps in some way.
