Windows 7 x64 and Unsigned Drivers

How do you guys deal with this?

New machine (sig rig) and new install of OEM Windows 7 64bit Home Premium

I can't seem to install any unsigned drivers, even after following this: http://www.techspot.com/community/topics/how-to-install-use-unsigned-drivers-in-windows-vista-7-x64.127187/

I'm really just trying to install MagicDisc and it says it can't install the driver, then after a shutdown it won't boot up unless I run recovery. Steam and Daemon Tools Pro also got hung up on the installs... I've been running all attempted installs "as administrator" too.

Steam doesn't need anything special to install, if it's not installing you have a separate issue going on, which I would look into fixing first.

I tried Steam install after the magicdisc driver failed and before restarting, so maybe that messed things up. I didn't have trouble installing 7zip, OpenOffice, Chrome, ASUS utilities, etc beforehand. I haven't tried Steam again.

I don't know what the deal is with MagicDisc, but I was able to successfully install Daemon Tools Lite (including the driver). Hopefully this issue won't pop up with other drivers down the road...
