I still have to wait at least two weeks to get the money to buy this thing, in case anyone was wondering why i'd be waiting.
I dont actually know what socket the G46vw has, but haswell might be a different chipset?
I see that some people are upgrading to i7's though: http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?30042-G46vw-cpu-upgrade

Haswell uses a different chipset, you can only upgrade to a 3rd gen i7 quadcore. The difference between an 3rd and a 4th gen (haswell) quadcore in negligible.

Just better battery and power saving features I thought? Wasn't that the focus of Haswell?
