Which headset to get?

Thread Starter
I'm looking for an affordable gaming headset for around $60 and have narrowed it down to the two listed below. Which should I get? Feel free to recommend other options.

The build quality of the Plantronics looks better.  I would probably go with it.

You could always go for OCN recommended gaming headphones, like the Superlux HD668B + mic.
The zalman mic beats the gamecom mic 10-0.

You could also upgrade the leather pads to velour, but not sure where you can get them outside of europe.

And for the Rosewill headset, I got an angry rant on another forum about how crappy they are. He got angry about the bad quality even though he bought the headset only for fun/testing purposes.

Stop it. The Zalman mic is a junk mic. Anyway, the Plantronics looks like it'll be more comfortable since it has those non-leather ear pads.

Hey man. I just signed up to respond because I recently bought the Platronics 780. As far as sound, the headphones are amazing for the price. BUT, I can't believe how uncomfortable they were. I had to send them back to Amazon because of it.

My head is small (wish I could show you) but even after stretching these over night for two nights, they went back to their original form. They gave me a headache after twenty minutes. To compare, I have the HD555 Seinheizer that I bought like five years ago and I can wear those for like 3-4 hours before they get annoying. So I hope this helps.

I would probably do some research on comfort on Amazon reviews before you pull the trigger. Your head might be able to handle it. Good luck!

Then the plantronic mic is even worse junk, as ppl who have upgraded from them to hd681B+zalman say that the zalman beats plantronic easily.

Never buy a clip-on mic, ever. I don't know why people keep suggesting them.
